This book contains solid statistical data for preparing for your fantasy league draft. While I agree that the information could be presented in a clearer format, it is very easy to differentiate the pitchers worth owning from the others. The value of the book lies in unearthing those "name" pitchers who are destined for hard times and those "no-name" pitchers who could shine. Couple this book with Ron Shandler's Baseball Forecaster and you've got the best tools available for roto baseball.

3 of 5 people found the following review helpful By G. Cantor on May 28, 2006
Format: Paperback
I'm glad I missed the first two editions and am sad I fell for the third.

Mr. Burnson demonstrates that some graphical data can be so poorly depicted as to be worse than simple mind-numbing lists of numbers. Evidently Burnson attempted to make the entry for each MLB pitcher from 2005, some pitchers were missing by the way, as concise as possible. In so doing he produced graphs which are absolutely useless. That, coupled with some pretty adolescent one-liners for each player, makes this effort a waste of paper and ink.
