The book is characterized by the clarification and concrete determination of separate groups of computer graphics problems, which can be studied and developed relatively independently. The presentation of issues is based on the logic of the graphics systems realization. This logic reflects the work of the designer and the implementor in its movement through the following consecutive steps: design of the graphics system; determining of the graphics system architecture and methods for its realization; realization of the graphics data processing through the development of corresponding algorithms.
The primary subject areas considered include: presentation of a model and functionality of 2D and 3D graphics systems; architectures of 2D and 3D graphics systems; possible methods for a graphics system realization; algorithms for graphics data processings; systemized presentation of all problems relevant to the user interface to reflect its influence on the graphics system.
