I bought two pairs of these shoes. One pair just fit, while the other pair was too big, even though both pairs were a size nine. I wore the pair that just fit without socks one day and ended up with the skin on the back of my feet abraded off. Maybe both pairs of shoes will become more comfortable the more I wear them.
