I've used Grassroots in the past and was very pleased to see the new 10th Edition. It has integrated a new early chapter on the importance of proofreading with proofreading tips; best, every grammar chapter contains a proofreading strategy targeted to the error or errors addressed in that chapter. Students are helped to pay close attention, find their own errors and correct them. As always, Grassroots is visually inviting, even beautiful, with contemporary passages that students actually like to read. It has long been the market leader and in my view has taken another leap ahead of the competition.

For many years, Grassroots has been an essential component in the writing classes I teach. Not only are the exercises and writing assignments expertly crafted to help my students get the practice they need, but I'm always struck by the beautiful writing in the passages used as models or exercises. Without exception, these paragraphs and essays are fresh, lively, and interesting--just the kind of superb examples I want my students to read as they hone their own writing skills. The book just gets better with every edition!

Grassroots is the best book of its kind and always remains fresh. My students enjoy doing the exercises and discussing the reading selections. The book engages them in learning but never patronizes, the way some other texts do. The new design is handsome and contemporary.

It was a good and useful book, a lot of details and information you will need if you need help in writing also a lot of grammemr structures. I reccomand it :)
