I just took this out of the box and the company must be reading these reviews. My putting green was nicely rolled up in the box and as I placed it on the floor (a textured carpet no less) the putting surface was perfectly smooth...not one wrinkle or crease anywhere...no heavy books or iron needed at all. What really surprised me was how realistic the surface was. I bought this to practice my putting stroke when winter hits and because of the surface I believe that it will really be helpful. I'm very pleased with this product and feel the price was reasonable. Although I have to go retrieve the 3 balls I putt with each time, there is no repeating noise factor shooting the balls back to me so if I want to practice at midnight, I won't bother anyone in the house.

Works great. I was hoping that foam underneath would extend more. I recommend getting some double-sided carpet tape to hold it in place, and combining it with the IZZO rough chipping mat and some foam wedges from foamonline.com. I ordered the following foam pieces and break and cup depth is better: Elongated wedge 12.000"TL x 42.000"BL X 2.500"H x 34.000"D Trapezoid 1.125"BW x 2.375"FW x 34.000"H x 20.750"D

I just bought this (NEW) for my husband for Christmas. I can't give it to him like this. It's just a rolled up mat in a crunched brown box. It looks used, there are threads sticking out everywhere, and footprints down the center of the mat. :( Thank goodness for Amazon's easy return policy. :) I've never had to use it before this, and they make it so easy. Just print out the label and drop it off at an UPS store. Love it! Thank you Amazon for being the bright spot in this otherwise disheartening experience.

I bought this product for my son. My 8 year old son loves those "putt, putt" golf courses. Both of us are having fun with this putting green. There are two hole fillers that fit well on the Green. We have used various things to change the green into a hill, up or down. This product is great fun in the house when the weather is bad. We have used it inside and outside.

First the good parts. I like the roll characteristics of the mat, and the various holes give you some variety. It is big enough so that you can throw a few balls down and get some putting practice from several distances. The "traps" at the end help catch errant putts so they don't go rolling over the floor. The slight incline helps train you to putt with enough force to get the ball to the hole. It is fun to putt on.
The bad--it bunches up in the middle. If I step on it at all it develops a ridge in the middle. Each time I go to the hole and get the balls out to set up a few putts, if I'm not careful to walk around it gets about a 1" hump across the middle. This mat is big enough you can't access all areas without standing on it, so it's just something you'll have to deal with. I have this on a carpeted floor, maybe on a hard floor it would work better.

It is a nice short putting course. It rolls out flat and is ready to play. I would say yes on the purchase. I would like to see a 12 foot version of this putting green.
