Twenty-one-year-old Claire Bannister has just been released from a Florida mental hospital, where she spent over three years on the forensics unit for arson and murder-crimes to which she pled "not guilty by reason of insanity." Captures real events from my childhood,

The author is my half-sister. I had no idea she had written a book based loosely on our childhood until recently, when she tentatively told me she had taken events from our childhood and woven them into a fictitious mystery/romance. I have always been a discriminating reader..the classics etc...so I was afraid to start her book for fear she would be a so-so writer and that I would have to fake liking it. I was thrilled to find out from the opening paragraph that Kelly is a true wordsmith. I became so engrossed in the story that I would momentarily forget some of it was based on our life as children until I stopped breathing and doubled over in tears. Her experience as a counselor shines through the insights she gives about Claire's coping mechanisms (bulimia and cutting). It is the type of story that can entertain on a day at the beach or serve as a therapeutic tool in a counseling setting. If you like a hard to put down story with an ending that makes you gasp, look no further than Grave Secret by Kelly Stone.

This is a really good read - hard to put down. It is amazing that this is the author's first published book. The characters are well developed and the plot is intriguing. Lots of surprises and it gets nicely wrapped up at the end. I definately recommend picking this one up!

All you need is a lazy day, comfortable clothes and a cup of coffee to spend the day reading Grave Secret - you will not want to put it down until you're finished. This is a gripping story with many twists and turns - it really keeps you on your toes. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great story line, excitement and drama.
