Pump Up Your Stereo and Listen Carefully!!!,
By Adrian Bonilla Cordero (MIAMI, FL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Gravity of Love (Audio CD)
This excellent song gave a warning of what would be E4; and I can say that this song did not defraud. The "Radio Edit", is very similar to the version of the disc. The "Judgement Day Club Mix", (my favourite), has an excellent beat and incredible force and the "Vocal Dark Club Mix", is also excellent. If you not yet have E4 and you wishes to know about it, I recommend this disc and if you already own E4, this import single is a great aggregate to so beautiful collection. Greetings.

I found that the cd was very articulate and very much like the other cds that cretu has put out on the market. I must admit that there is always a couple of tracks on the cd that i dont much like, but for the most part, the whole cd is great as well as the others that i have purchased. i hope that other people out there will try and listen to this music and open there mind to another place that only music, such as this, and will go to another place only in your mind. i really suggest this to people who have an open mind and should not expect nothing but the best from curly mc. i thk u for ur time and thk u for the great cd and to opening my mind once again and taking me from this realm of a world.

I really love this song!! Awesome! A real experience.. If carmina wasn't there, it'd simply be PERFECT... Now you will be wandering why i rate it with only 2 stars. Well.. there are many "but"s here...So, we have ethereal sweet and sexy vocals, perfect romantic, charming and most importantly *human* lyrics and of course very good atmospheric rhythms. A really rare combination that can make you travel as far away as one can travel simply by hearing a song. It can make you cry, it can make you dream... But, but, but, why carmina burana? why, why carmina burana???:( There were a **million** ways to complete this inspiration without getting "another man's work". And i believe that half of them wouldn't spoil it. It would still be perfect and original too... (ok i may be a little bit extreme here about the numbers.. but i think you get the meaning). So much near absolute perfection, but unfortunatelly it is still another "based on carmina burana" song, call it version 249309420. And, in this cd, we can just find remixes of the 249309420th "carmina burana based" song... sadly:( If you haven't heard the track in the "screen behind the mirror" album, then you simply HAVE to hear it. Although it is not 100% original, it is still a very very beautiful and charming song. Very charming indeed. However, the remixes are quite predictable. Nothing really special. A very good combination of incredients resulting in "simply very good" food. But the truth is, that with such stuff we could have a much better result. I can't say it does not worth to buy it.It would be wrong. But i would hardly rate it with more than 3 stars. We simply have some -predictable- remixes in a very good but -not original- song. So... i love it? yes! i'd buy it? yes! but only because i am an enigma fun and i'd buy all of their stuff no matter what...

The remixes are good, but hardly do the song justice,

This song, in its original form, is as close to auditory perfection as you can get. It is bold, sweeping, theatrical, dark, beautiful, mysterious, driving, and leaves you completely breathless right up to the final pounding drum beat.
Yes, the song uses "O Fortuna" from Orff's "Carmina Burana" and some reviewers have said that it distracts from the song, but in all honesty I think it lends to the darkness and bigness of the song. This song is an amalgamation of every Enigma phase to date...it retains the darkness from MCMXC a.D., has the driving drum track from The Cross of Changes, and the sweeping orchestral beauty from Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi! For me, the part of the song that gives me shivers and completely captivates me is the spoken word quote from William Blake in the center of the song: "The path of excess leads to the tower of wisdom." I believe this is either Louisa Stanley or Elisabeth Houghton speaking the words. It is repeated twice, once in the females regular cadence, then deepened to sound more male (if you listen carefully it's not two separate voices, just an adjustment.) I really can't say enough about this song. It's 11 years old, but is still as fresh and beautiful as when it was released in 2000. Now, about the remixes. Meh. Honestly, I think the song loses a lot of its power. I'm a huge fan of hearing reinterpretations of songs I love, but the two remixes end up sounding seriously cheesy. I wish Cretu had included a remix that matched the tempo of the original, and kept the insane amount of power with the song. It's the same way I feel about ATB's remix of "Push the Limits". Part of what makes these songs so great is the drum track Cretu uses, and in the remixes it's completely lost.

Why did I love this song sooo much?I don't know,I just did.Certain songs just get under my skin and Gravity Of Love is one of those songs. The lady who does the lead vocals for this wonderful song has a really beautiful voice.I liked the Judgement Day Club Mix of the song but I loved the radio version way better.
