Where '90's Rock Should Have Gone,
By Alex Knapp (Earth) - See all my reviews

This review is from: Gravity (Audio CD)
Red Henry's first, and sadly, last major release (they had two prior CD's) is terrific yet tragic, because it shows where the trends of 90's rock were going, but didn't. Clearly lots of influences going on from hard rock in the 70's with the more experimental stuff of 90's pop rock like Alice in Chains and Soul Asylum. Not to mention lyrics that actually mean something. The whole album alone is worth picking up for the last track, "Atlas", which is also the only single released from the album. If you like a pure rock sound with intelligence and some willingness to experiment, this is the CD for you. |
