Enchanting,
This review is from: Gray World (Paperback)
Anyone familiar with the novels of Charles Williams (1886-1945) will almost certainly love Evelyn Underhill's three novels. Unfortunately this is the only one in print at the moment. Like Williams, Underhill explores the sacramental intersection of the physical and the spiritual and uses that image as a backdrop for the unfolding of a human drama. Her other two novels are called The Column of Dust (1909) and The Lost Word (1907). This particular edition is a facsimile of the first edition (1904) with very generous margins. A pleasure to read and take notes in!
