This book combines great illustrations with the appropriate clinical imaging(be it x-ray, MRI or whatever) to understand the relationships between the imaging and the underlying gross anatomy. A great resource whether you are studying for gross anatomy class, your USMLE Step1 exam, or brushing up on your anatomy while on the wards.

A remarkable tool and extraordinary reference for anyone interested in studying, practicing, or teaching somatic education. As a GUILD CERTIFIED FELDENKRAIS PRACTITIONERcm, I found the surface anatomy pages particularly invaluable. The extraordinary illustrations on these pages enable one to view in precise detail the relationship between the surface landmarks of the body such the chest and shoulders and the specific bones which lie under these areas. Being able to view such a relationship is extremely helpful in my work. Indeed, these surface anatomy pages as well as the CT, MRI and x-ray images in Gray's Atlas of Anatomy provide a very clear and vivid idea of what lies beneath...

I bought this as a recommendation of the professor that was teaching anatomy. He believed it would be good for pre-health student. Although I was able to use it I preferred my other atlas for the deatail. This one was a bit less detailed and cartoon like.

This product is very helpful with anatomy courses. It is good for lecture or cadaver labs.

A wonderful atlas! I find it just as good as Gilroy, Clemente, and Netter. I still prefer Netter over the rest, but you can not go wrong with any one.

Excellent copy delivered promptly well secured. Good seller. Daughter needed for class so she can be self sufficient one day, hopefully soon, because my wallet is becoming bare.

Richard Tibbitts is the medical illustrator to watch, the heir apparent to Brödel and Pernkopf. The authors of this book should thank their lucky stars to be blessed by Mr. Tibbitt's amazing artistic talent. Students using this book will cherish the rich educational experience afforded by the thoughtful, carefully planned illustrations that convey more knowledge in less time than thousands of words. Well done Mr. Tibbitts! Just when we think your work has reached the pinnacle, you again surprise us by outdoing yourself with another sublime and heroic masterpiece! The world is a richer place for your diligent efforts!

I bought this book as a gift for my college age son. This is what he wanted for his birthday. He was very surprised and thinks the book is really "neat". I never imagined that a book would give him so much satisfaction.
