One of the best CDs I've bought this year,

Janus Stark's has everything it takes to become a great rock band. Their slashing guitars and tight lyrics makes their first album a high energy ride with no let down. Songs like 'Enemy Lines' 'Every Little Thing Counts' 'Clique' and '200 Duty Free' blast out of the speakers with amazing intensity while 'White Man Speak With Fork Tounge' flows from the CD player with a calm that masks the songs darker nature.

Janus Stark have a range of great tunes that range from the calm "Floyd (What are you on?)" to the aggressive "White man speak with fork tongue". Although I heard of Janus Stark accouple of years ago, I only found a copy of their album a few months ago ... . It is definately worth listening too and will get your adrenaline pumpinging for a night out!

The three musicains in this band have come a long way from being in The English Dogs...all the way from the early eighties to now with the name Janus Stark. They have gone through many different styles as the English Dogs...punk, speed metal, and pop punk. The album prior to this with the name the English Dogs called "All The World's A Rage" was an awsome album and sounds exactly the same as this one... I would recommed buying it if you like Janus Stark..

Not bad; much better than most punk bands today,

Led by guitarist/vocalist Gizz Butt (currently serving double duty with Janus Stark and the Prodigy), this disc is actually quite a solid effort. Many scream-along anthems grace this 10-song set, fueled by the harder sounds of "Enemy Lines," "Clique," and lead radio single "Every Little Thing Counts." What you can count on from this effort by England's Janus Stark is a groove-heavy album that ranks highly on the list of great punk albums released this year.

Nothing big about this CD,

The high screaming, guitar blazing debut from Janus Stark combines punk, heavy metal, and even a little pop into one. The CD has an original sound to it, but the tracks just don't stand out too well. The first single, "Every Little Thing Counts" is a very catchy tune indeed, and the most radio friendly tune on the CD, too. There's still some other good songs, the long anthem "Dynamo" turns from soft, and melodic to loud, and screeching within seconds. This may be somewhat annoying at times, but the track works well. The heavy metal/pop tunes "Clique" and "New Slant on Nothing" are pretty good, too, and the final track "Barriers" has a sound similar to "Every Little Thing Counts" The rest of the CD is pretty bad, especially on "White Man Speak With Fork Tongue." Overall, there's nothing big about this CD.

I caught some of "Disturbing Behavior", and the best thing about it was "Every Little Thing Counts" in the soundtrack. I didn't make it through the movie, but I wound up with this CD pretty quickly. That song's a little ball of energy, and usually a song like that will be the highlight of the album. This album keeps up that kind of energy all the way through. Similar to Blink 182, except much, much more mature and musical. In fact, I don't ever remember hearing punk this musical, and yet it doesn't sacrifice any energy. No excuse not to get it.
