5.0 out of 5 stars I need more stars for this one!!!
I have had this book for ages and it is always one of the first that I pull out no matter what I'm cooking. It's out of print now but every once in a while you can get one here on Amazon, or through one of their Z-Shops or auctions. DO NOT HESITATE to pick this up. There are a lot out there that aren't as good as this one...

Has EVERYTHING from Beverages to each Meat...

1.0 out of 5 stars a fun read, but not practical for cooking everyday.
The book is a fun read. Not something I would use as a reference for everyday cooking. Most of the recipes are from the player's famous Chefs and gourmet restaurants. Not something that the everyday cook would use. I only found around 3 recipes in the whole book that I would make. The rest of the recipes are a bit too fancy for our family: using duck, goat cheeses, etc...

Has EVERYTHING from Beverages to each Meat entree. Using Brand Name products that makes shopping easier. For instance a recipe that I always use is there "Sour Cream Cheesecake" or perhaps there "Majic Cookie Bars" Delicious.

Happy Cooking

I got this cookbook as a wedding present 3 years ago. I really enjoyed cooking with this book because I knew that whatever I cooked would turn out beautifully. Each meal is a multisensory experience. The pictures are great, too.

No matter what you have in your pantry, you can find a recipe for a quick and delicious meal. Doesn't have recipes that contain ingredients you've never heard of.

I have a collection of cookbooks and so do my mother and sister. We all agree that this is our very favorite. I have yet to make anything out of this book that was not delicious. Of course, I do not always use the exact brand that they recommend, but the recipes are fantastic! I would highly recommend this cookbook to anyone who enjoys cooking.

This review is from: Great American Brand Name Cookbook (Collector's Edition) (Hardcover)
I've had this book 15 years, infact I'm ordering my third one. Why? Well it's been used so much the spine broke and the pages are falling out. The recipes are great. Simple to follow with easy ingredience that usually can be found in the pantry. Spaghetti alla Bolognese being an all time favoite! Pick one up today, you won;t regret it.

My Grandmother gave this cookbook as a gift to my Mother and I. My Mother lost hers and can't live without it. I purchased it from Amazon to replace her lost copy. So many good recipes. Many have become staples at family get togethers and for holidays. This is my favorite cookbook.

I had lost my copy of this wonderful cookbook in our last move. When I found this copy, it was a great price, and exactly what I was looking for. The recipes in it are ones that my family loves, and were so happy when I found this copy, and could make all their favorites again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply the BEST!, June 17, 2010
This review is from: Great American Brand Name Cookbook (Collector's Edition) (Hardcover)
I have had this book for 10+ years. I think I bought it from a guy going from business to business selling books out of his car. It was one of my first cookbooks and over the years has proven to be the best one. The layout is simple. Text is large enough to go back and forth during preparation and not lose your place. There are pictures on every page. After eating out a lot I began to look up my favorite dishes and to my surprise found almost all of them. One of the first recepies I tried was Bananas Foster. I'm happy to report that I cook instead of going out now because these recepies are so darn good! Today I'm searching for a newer updated book with "light" recepies. Not seeing any. So there's my 2 cents. It's a keeper!

This is a BIG book and filled with tons of recipes with familiar brand named ingredients. It has pages of color photos and I find myself grabbing it a lot. It would also make a great gift.
