This double CD set covers 160 original radio commercials which aired on Australian radio and a few on TV between and inclusive of the 1930s and 1980s. There's 8 tracks on the first CD and seven on the second. Why those who put these CDs together didn't bother to divide all the commercials into separate tracks is unknown but can only be described as pretty annoying. If listening and you want to get to a certain product or don't want to listen to a product or racist commercial, you've got to skip through (fast forward) through the track to get to it. If you're playing these CDs in your car and your car stereo doesn't have that kind of technology then this is really annoying. If the tracks had of been separated simply memoring the tracks for the products you want to hear into a portable CD player would let you enjoy the CD more or use it as a soundtrack when doing student presentations at university, high school or something.

It is interesting to hear the older decade advertising and hear just how different it is to modern advertising, how it is sometimes racist and often makes claims which are out and out lies such as Rice Bubbles being good for you. Obviously laws that exist today didn't back then. Interestingly a lot contradict themselves in their script such as one going on about a brand of tea says "Tea is a great way to wake up in the morning and a great way to get to sleep at night." So it wakes you up and puts you to sleep. Aeroplane Jelly has a line that's never played on the reminiscing TV clip shows about a little girl bragging at the beginning how she enjoys striking her dog. There is a fair amount of sexist and racist terminology used in the older decade ads as well which would highlight to kids today the differences in society and how it has improved.
