This story takes elements from the first story, but in an easier to read format for younger readers. The pictures make it fun for little folks, too. Nice continuation of the fun and frolic that Schachner has given us with the first four Skippyjon Jones books.

Not only does it not live up to the standards of the originals.............BUT THE FIRST TWO PAGES ARE MISSING IN THE BOOK I RECIEVED!!! I will stick to Scholastics when ordering anymore of the beloved Skippy Jon Jones Books!!!

This book is a knock-off of Miss Judy's. Not too much for storyline. And not too much for likability compared to the original Skippyjon saga. It's not what we were expecting when it showed up in the mail. I like that this book shows pictures in place of some of the words on each page, in addition to the 'cards' in the back. I wish the 'cards' were laminated for durability, then I would seek this type of Skippyjon book out....

This story is short and intended for young children to read for themselves. It has the flash-cards in the back, and the little pictures interspersed throughout. My children love it because when I read aloud to them, they can identify the pictures as I go, almost as though we are reading together. The storyline is cute and fun and the artwork is recognizable as Skippyjon Jones and co.

My grandson likes this series and I needed to add a small item to add to my order to quailfy for free shipping. This is a thin paperback from Scholastic Books,not a great value but fine for this purpose.

My book crazy three year old loves this story. I have to say my Spanish is miserable, so I probably sound like an idiot reading the story to her (my husband is always laughing in the next room) but she really thinks the story is hilarious. Well it's that or she is laughing at my terrible rendition of the story. Anyways, for two days after we read the story she ran around the house with a cape on telling me she was Skippito looking for some beans. Love it!

The SkippyjonJones series is fun to read. The kids love hearing them over and over again and I don't mind reading them over and over again.

My grandson, 5, loves Skippy John Jones. The same is true for this book. Skippy John Jones is a lively little Siamese cat who thinks he is a chichuachua. It's a fun book to read to children, too.
As usual Judy Schachner has done an excellent job!!!
