Wah Hoo!,

This review is from: A Great Big Western Howdy From Riders In The Sky (Audio CD)
I've been a Riders fan for years and they keep getting better and better. Don't let the cowboy label scare you away...I am a big fan of all kinds of music from opera to klezmer and these guys are one of the most entertaining acts you can ever listen to (or see). "Ballad of Pallindrome" will give you a good idea of the comedy of Too Slim and Woody Paul that shines in their live shows, while "Wah Hoo!" shows their versatility as musicians as they swing with the best of them. And for pure harmonizing, "Cowboy Camp Meeting" shows you what Riders can do "unplugged". A true joy from start to finish. I introduced my 13year old nephew to Riders and he thinks they are "too cool". A great CD for car rides with the family.

Can you wear the pits off a CD?,

I purchased this CD based on a review, having never heard a song by the trio. The day it arrived I popped it into the stereo on the way to work. As the infectious harmonies, yodels and fiddle playing filled the car during "Wahoo," I got a grin *so* big the corners of my mouth damn near met at the back of my neck (which woulda caused the top of my head to slide right off, as everyone knows). I enjoy every song so much that I bought another copy for the office, and I'm going to see the Riders perform live on Dec. 15. I can't recommend them highly enough. Good, clean fun.

After listening to this CD a few times, I started wearing a big Stetson hat. It has improved my ability to yodel. The music, that is.

One of my faves by the Riders..The ORIGINAL "Wah Hoo" ,is on a collection of 1930's humor and swing from one of the Riders' influences (i'm sure) .. The amazing .."Hoosier Hot Shots" ..These guys are /were incredible .. same humor and instrumental versatility .. "I Like Bananas Because They Have no Bones ", "From The Indies The The Andes In His Undies" you get the idea .. .. Check out The Hoosier Hot Shots ..they left us some great music .
