Inspired by the interest in Bike South 2000, the authors have compiled a guide that showcases the best bike routes in the area surrounding Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The 56 routes all start in Winston-Salem and loop into the surrounding countryside. They range in length from family rides that are less than a mile to rides 70seventy miles in length for the serious touring cyclist. Although most of the rides are designed for road biking, a few off-road trails for mountain bikers are included as well.
