5.0 out of 5 stars A Rare Treat for Lovers of Chazanuth, October 13, 2000
This review is from: The Great Cantors (Audio CD)
I think the "Great Cantors" is truly a classic. This collection contains the great works from many of the greatest chazonim (cantors) of this century. Literally everyone I know who listened to this was "blown away" by the incredible beauty of the music. Though, this is in mono, and some of the sound quality isn't always perfect, (since all the included selections were copied from old records),as a musician friend of mine named Rich once taught me - "Truly Great music has a way of coming through no matter what it is played on." Though a bit humbling to think of in the digital age that we live in, I can't help but experience the truth of his statement while listenting to this music.
