Great pictures in a slim volume,

This review is from: Great Circus Street Parade in Pictures (Paperback)
The title of the book can be misleading if not read carefully. The author has not written about great parades of the American circus in its heyday (late 19th-early 20th century) but about the "Great Circus Parade" which takes place in Milwaukee, WI, each summer. The background, sponsors, and story of some of the wagons are covered, but the real value of the Fox's book is the glorious photographs.
The book is not for anyone looking for a history of the American circus parades. Its value is the beautiful color photos of the lavishly decorated parade wagons.
