I got to see the movie in Russian. I have not seen a more accurate movie. There are a few parts of it that go from the beginning of war to the very end. The movie was designed to show how great commanders, such as Zhukov, helped the Soviet Union to win that war. It shows the bad sides and good sides, it shows, that Stalin was not always right, it shows a great patriotism and love to Motherland that Soviet people had. I studied for my History exam at the University watching tyhat movie. Don't believe if you hear that the movie is bad. Very accurate, very well made. Of course, if you don't understand other countries and just used to believing stereotypes, this movie is not for you. But if you really want to see HOW IT WAS, then it is what you need.

Zhukov Propoganda July 31, 2001

Zhukov as the greatest general of WWII? So much propoganda that students of history will see through. The producers attempt validity by interviewing history professors and the US Army War College and the British Staff College (Sandhurst), but it does not change the facts. The video shows only the "good" and none of the bad, like so many Soviet eara propoganda films. Same old footage that you see in so many other videos about the fall of Berlin interspersed with lots of panorammas of the battle areas today. Save your money.
