Information is arranged by period. An index is supplied for access by name. Each composer has a 1-4 page illustrated article. By no means exhaustive in scope. We looked for someone who wasn't in there on the day we got the book. While the format is pleasing to the eye when you are not trying to read it, I find I simply cannot read this book because the print is so tiny.
