This book improves communication in a marriage and sets you on the right track to "revitalize" your marriage. After reading and doing the exercises in this book, my husband and I now "date" regularily. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is experiencing the 'blahs' in their marriage.

My wife and I just love all of the Dave and Claudia Arp books. We attended the a Marriage Alive Seminar last year and the Arps provide practical, easy to understand, biblically based truths on bringing you and your spouse closer together.
Specifically, this text is filled with great suggestions on how to put the rest of your life aside for a few hours and focus on learning about your spouse and strenthening your relationship, and have some fun also! We have a toddler and when we are able to get a sitter and spend some time alone we want to make the most of it and this book has certainly helped.

There are some really wonderful ideas in this book -- although, in all honesty, some are rather ordinary. Take what is meaningful to you and put it into practice. My wife and I still "date" after 17 years together.

We were looking at new things to do in our marriage to make it a little stronger and just some new ideas. We got this book from our church who offered free child care while we had to read from the book and do that date every week. IT WAS GREAT! Me and my husband enjoyed reading from the book and it has been FUN! SOo if you would like to help the communication and get date ideas then this is the book for you!!! It talks about improving and/or keeping your marriage alive - it focus on communication but also touches on if you have kids, working, and finding time for your marriage. Overall i would reccommend it to any married couple!

I find it extremely sad that those who should be dating aren't and those who are dating (12 year olds) shouldn't be. Thanks to the Arps for advocating that adults should be dating even if they have been married for dozens of years. Another excellent book on this subject which has even more dating ideas than this one is The RoMANtic's Guide: Hundreds of Creative Tips for a Lifetime of Love. I think both books are outstanding.

My husband and I bought this book as a starting point to have something to talk about on date night. It's been nice, but I wish the exercises were a bit longer and a bit more in-depth. I like the book, but probably would choose something else next time.

We all have busy lives and tend not to broach those important topics very often that deepen our marriages. This book lays out times to build or develop marriage skills and just enjoy one another in a nonthreatening atmosphere. These marriage building times are connected to dating so that makes it even more fun.

My husband and I have gone thru this book twice. It's so easy to read and fun to put into effect. Who ever said you couldn't have romance AND marriage!?

This book was recommended by a counselor for our marriage. After fifteen years we had fallen into a rut and were stuck. This reignited the old flame and has started some new ones too.

we haven't went on all 10 dates yet, but the few that we've went on have led us to some great discussions and fun memories to talk about. It was nice to just talk about "us" and not all the typical things like work and kids. definitely worth our money and time.
