Middle/School type pop-punk,

This album reminds me of listening to punk rock in middle school. The punk was pretty watered down, and half the time was ska. We thought we were cool or rebels or something, but we were just middle/lower class white kids with nothing to do but stay up past curfew, steal cigarettes, break bottles in the city parks, and move from one friends house to the next pissing off Moms sequentially. We weren't tough, we weren't really hardcore. But life was fun, and we knew at least a few kids old enough to drive. So we stayed out and went to black light bowling and thought we were gonna some how get girls numbers. We all knew "extreme sports" were cool, and tried to be decent at bmx/skating etc, but weren't really. We hated school, teachers and parents. We loved Kevin Smith movies. We pretty much knew everything. In fact, I knew more then, than I do now. This album reminds me of kids everywhere going through that experience. I like it, and it has a good feel, some of your friends will make fun of you for having it. They clearly went through adolescence in manner completely different.
I heard this in my friends car the other day, and really wanted to know what it was. I bought this album and have no regrets.

my little brother turned me on to Defiance, Ohio years ago.
Now, I can not live with out them. If you don't fall in love with this incredible band immediately....there might be something wrong with you. Emotional, perceptive, smart, and most of all... from the heart. If you get a chance to see them live DO NOT miss out. You will not leave dissappointed. Also...if you do enjoy them, you might want to look into Rosa and/or Ghost Mice. just a thought.

One of the most amazing, heartfelt bands I have heard in a long time. If you like honesty in your music, D'Oh is right up your alley.
The No Idea Records website has all of their work at great prices. Hint hint.
