Dr. Evans in this book teaches on the Doctrine of God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, Man, Salvation, Church, Scriptures, Angels, Satan, Last Things. There is also eighty additional entries by Maxwell Coder. I particularly enjoyed the doctrine of God (about 50 pages) wherein he argued not only the characteristics of God but also the existance of God using a view philosiphical arguments. It is however clear from reading the book that it is quite old and it's theology the same - written in the beginning of this century. For those looking for a more modern approach I would not recommend it, but for general study, looking for a good supply of scripture references and sufficient notes on different doctrines, this book is worth having.

"Great Doctrines of the Bible" by William Evans is a necessary addition to any Christian's personal library. It thoroughly outlines the ten great doctrines of the Bible and explains each one in a way that is easily understood to improve one's faith and ability to share the Gospel truths with others. The ten doctrines explained are: God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, Man, Salvation, The Church, Scriptures, Angels, Satan, and The Last Things. I highly recommend this book to all Bible students and Christians looking to increase their knowledge of basic Biblical doctrine. A strong foundation is necessary for all Christians and this book will benefit all who read it.

This is a very good introduction to Christian Theology. It is basic and concise. Not as thorough a treatment as some might wish, but very well laid out and user friendly for developing your own lessons on the subjects it covers.
