Book Description

May 1, 1999
Main Subject: The Great and Final Apostasy of Christendom, Described; an exposition on every passage in the New Testament that predicts or describes the state of Christendom at the end of The Church Age and BEFORE the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ, with copious reference to the Old Testament.

Better/best quality paperback; 481 pages; laminated and indented cover; scripture index; clear type

Theological Premises: Trinitarian; KJV/ Textus Receptus; Eternal Security; Futurist; Pre-Trib; Pre-Mil; Pentecostal. There is not one word or phrase in THE GREAT DREAM that is not entirely consistent with historic Protestant Orthodoxy. ANTI- 7th Day Sabbaterian; ANTI-Hyperdispensational; ANTI-Hebrew Roots Movement; ANTI-"Revival Now"; ANTI-Cessasionist. Fundamentalist as to the Bible; Baptist as to salvation; Reformed as to sanctification; Pentecostal as to the supernatural. THE GREAT DREAM solidly sides with Martin Luther as to main issues of The Reformation.

The main focus of THE GREAT DREAM is doctrinal and practical: there are no names named (and accused); no denomination is either targeted or defended; there are no sandals rehearsed; very little reference to current events; no speculations on the identity of the Antichrist or the mark of the beast; no numerology; no attempt to interpret doubtful symbols in The Book of Revelation; very little reference to politics; and NO NOVEL DEFINITIONS FOR WORDS. There are NO NOVEL DOCTRINES introduced in THE GREAT DREAM.

Editorial Reviews

Review

A very humbling work. An enlightening and deeply challenging work. The author has worked hard to tear off the wrappings of this "sugar-candy Christianity", exposing popularly held beliefs for what they are - traditions of men. He has exposed the scriptures in all their , which of course are the Word of God and cannot be challenged, explaining well-known and obscure passages alike with clarity. He has laid out a frightening picture of the current state of the church and the final destiny of most that are still in it. Much of this content I will have to look at again and once I have done so, I can make more detailed comments. A deeply thought-provoking book -- Richard from the UK

From the Publisher

When my wife and I were introduced to TGD and having read the whole book after downloading and printing, I became interested in obtaining copies for my friends. I was convinced as to TGD's veracity and pertinence to the perilous times that we live in. Without going into details, our Lord had in many ways already prepared us for what was to be encountered in TGD.

Then we discovered that TGD was not in print and being uniquely qualified to do the job, I could not in peace turn away from taking on the task of publishing. To this day we have no regrets of doing so. In view of this you must know that we had no intention whatsoever then and even now, of merchandising TGD. We just wanted some copies of TGD to share with our friends. Money is not our motivation.

5.0 out of 5 stars An eye-opener for anyone who THINKS he/she is Christian!, February 11, 2000
This review is from: The Great Dream: The Great and Final Apostasy of Christendom, Described (Paperback)
This is a truly remarkable book. The research to complile a book of this magnitude is astounding alone. Upon reading it, take it slow---let the words sink in. Also, have your Bible handy to look up references. This book is will either convict you greatly or not make sense at all. After reading it many months ago, I still refer back to parts for clarification. It will, if you comprehend it, produce thought-provoking novel ideas to jump out at you. We ARE in the days of apostasy--as Paul mentioned c. 2 thousand years ago! It has just become more insidious, subtle, and socially-accepted. If you are a person who considers yourself a TRUE Christian, I dare you to read this book. If you want truth, and TRUE Christians seek truth, read it. If you don't understand it, you may want to ponder over the relationship you currently have with the Lord and what false doctrines you adhere to. I say this in complete sincerity and with gentleness. I am a sinner like you. I am not boasting that I know it all because I have read this book or am saved, or whatever else I can be pinned down with. I am simply stating that one must use discernment every so carefully and meticulously. There is a prevalent problem in our current society of "accepting the status quo" in church, schools, government, etc. We are to be like the Bereans to whom Paul spoke--questioning and testing everything. Look that up if you don't know about those people. Read your Bible! True Christians are a MINORITY, not the assumed MAJORITY. Your eternal salvation is dependent upon your seeking and knowing the TRUTH.

5.0 out of 5 stars A riveting soul searching book!, February 12, 2003
This review is from: The Great Dream: The Great and Final Apostasy of Christendom, Described (Paperback)
The Great Dream is an awesome read!
It is well written and organized, you don't feel preached at or talked down to. The author writes to you in a personal conversational way and you will know when you are specifically being spoken too just by the way you react within yourself at what you have just read.
Have you ever felt or just "known" things concerning religeous doctrines or teachings of men or their interpretation of "The Bible" were right or wrong somehow, but couldn't really put your finger on it? Well, The Great Dream is the book you can put your finger on! (And yes you can and should keep your bible handy to check what is written to see if The Great Dream rings true.) When you read this book you will catch yourself saying "I knew that!" Or "So that's what that really means,I thought so!" Be forwarned though, the farther you read into this book the deeper into your soul you will have to look and that means being honest and truthful with yourself, which can be a hard thing to do. I know...because I just described my experience with The Great Dream.

5.0 out of 5 stars Insightful commentary on the state of Christendom today, May 23, 2001

This review is from: The Great Dream: The Great and Final Apostasy of Christendom, Described (Paperback)
All I can say about this book is "Wow!". Don't let the simple title of this book mislead you. This book has a lot of twists and turns. The author causes you to really think about things that you take for granted. You think you understand the meaning of Jesus Christ's parables in the Bible. You think you know what "mammon" means. You may even believe that you are a sold out believer of Jesus Christ or you may actually be a hireling Don't get this book if you like the status quo and if you are perfectly content to have others do your thinking for you.

Other reviewers were disturbed by the author's tone. I say do not let that distract you from what the author is saying in the book. At the very least, this book will have you re-thinking some things you thought you already knew about the kingdom of God. I know that I have experienced a series of eye-openers while reading this book. Get your Bible out and ask God for wisdom. Then read this book to see for yourself if the things that this author states are true.
