An eye-opener for anyone who THINKS he/she is Christian!,
By Michaele Yaklin (Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Great Dream: The Great and Final Apostasy of Christendom, Described (Paperback)
This is a truly remarkable book. The research to complile a book of this magnitude is astounding alone. Upon reading it, take it slow---let the words sink in. Also, have your Bible handy to look up references. This book is will either convict you greatly or not make sense at all. After reading it many months ago, I still refer back to parts for clarification. It will, if you comprehend it, produce thought-provoking novel ideas to jump out at you. We ARE in the days of apostasy--as Paul mentioned c. 2 thousand years ago! It has just become more insidious, subtle, and socially-accepted. If you are a person who considers yourself a TRUE Christian, I dare you to read this book. If you want truth, and TRUE Christians seek truth, read it. If you don't understand it, you may want to ponder over the relationship you currently have with the Lord and what false doctrines you adhere to. I say this in complete sincerity and with gentleness. I am a sinner like you. I am not boasting that I know it all because I have read this book or am saved, or whatever else I can be pinned down with. I am simply stating that one must use discernment every so carefully and meticulously. There is a prevalent problem in our current society of "accepting the status quo" in church, schools, government, etc. We are to be like the Bereans to whom Paul spoke--questioning and testing everything. Look that up if you don't know about those people. Read your Bible! True Christians are a MINORITY, not the assumed MAJORITY. Your eternal salvation is dependent upon your seeking and knowing the TRUTH.

A riveting soul searching book!,

This review is from: The Great Dream: The Great and Final Apostasy of Christendom, Described (Paperback)
The Great Dream is an awesome read! It is well written and organized, you don't feel preached at or talked down to. The author writes to you in a personal conversational way and you will know when you are specifically being spoken too just by the way you react within yourself at what you have just read. Have you ever felt or just "known" things concerning religeous doctrines or teachings of men or their interpretation of "The Bible" were right or wrong somehow, but couldn't really put your finger on it? Well, The Great Dream is the book you can put your finger on! (And yes you can and should keep your bible handy to check what is written to see if The Great Dream rings true.) When you read this book you will catch yourself saying "I knew that!" Or "So that's what that really means,I thought so!" Be forwarned though, the farther you read into this book the deeper into your soul you will have to look and that means being honest and truthful with yourself, which can be a hard thing to do. I know...because I just described my experience with The Great Dream.

Insightful commentary on the state of Christendom today,
By Melanie L. Smith (Bradenton, FL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Great Dream: The Great and Final Apostasy of Christendom, Described (Paperback)
All I can say about this book is "Wow!". Don't let the simple title of this book mislead you. This book has a lot of twists and turns. The author causes you to really think about things that you take for granted. You think you understand the meaning of Jesus Christ's parables in the Bible. You think you know what "mammon" means. You may even believe that you are a sold out believer of Jesus Christ or you may actually be a hireling Don't get this book if you like the status quo and if you are perfectly content to have others do your thinking for you.Other reviewers were disturbed by the author's tone. I say do not let that distract you from what the author is saying in the book. At the very least, this book will have you re-thinking some things you thought you already knew about the kingdom of God. I know that I have experienced a series of eye-openers while reading this book. Get your Bible out and ask God for wisdom. Then read this book to see for yourself if the things that this author states are true.

This book is a must read!,
By Jamie Gafford (Panama City Beach, FL.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Great Dream: The Great and Final Apostasy of Christendom, Described (Paperback)
If you have ever wondered what in the world is going on with people who profess to be Christians, but are willing to compromise on the teachings of Christ, this book is a must read for you. There is a vast difference between those who casually and carelessly profess Christ, and those who truly follow Him and are known by Him. You will be encouraged to follow Christ at all costs and without compromise. You will find yourself examining your own faith like you never have before, and you will be challenged and thrilled to discover just what it is made of. There is no better description of the prophecied apostasy of Christendom to be found anywhere else. The Great Dream is all of this and much much more. I highly recommend it.

Christians today are being mislead by lying pastors who are deceived and are going about deceiveing others and this book exposes these false shepherds invading churches of all sizes. Jesus warned us, even commanded us... not to be deceived, yet millions of Christians just don't care to abide by the Bible (God's Word) and that's where the wolves move in for the kill. They have already devoured "most all churches" in America and turned them into apostate churches(likely, you too... but you must be brave enough to open your eyes to see the devastation being done).
This book is very informative and written to be easily understood. You will learn that its not so much what is being taught by your pastor in your church that is apostate, it is what he is "not teaching" that creates a different Gospel, a different faith, a different Jesus, a false Gospel and an apostate religion. This apostate chuch appears and sounds like a real Christian church, but it is no way compatible to the real Jesus and defies much of God's Word. The end-times apostasy is truly a brilliant scheme and this book will absolutely help you to see it unravel before your very eyes! It will amaze you just how powerful these apostate churches can be. As a Christian book publisher, JamesRussellPublishing.com, I do not publish this book and I do not know the author. However, I have read this book and I fully endorse it as a wonderful publication to help you get free from the entrapment of the end-times-church system. This is not a small book, it is huge and packed with tons of wisdom. Every Christian on the planet needs to read this book! It also makes a wonderful gift. Buy some books for your family members and friends and donate some to the public library system. People need to read this book! The Lord needs more workers for the harvest and this book proclaims the true Gospel and exposes the false pastors and teachers operating churches robbing the flock of money, their faith and their soul. Consider this book one giant Gospel tract targeted toward decieved Christians!

Truth: very hard to chew,

Reading this book was a task, and a tough one. Some days I would read awhile and have to put it away to think and pray before I could go forward. The parts that rang so true for me caused weeping for Christianity more than once. The author is not the best writer I ever read, but the important TRUTH of what he was endeavouring to put across was as pure as the heart of God Himself. I cut my molars on Barna and Viola books, so I was somewhat prepared for reading J.A.C.'s, but it was still a lot to digest, and not discounting the heavy chewing. The reader must not be put off by the "prophet" type hard line. Don't refuse the food because the plate has a little crack in it. This kind of ministry seems to almost demand the wild-eyed thundering and pulpit pounding.

This review is from: The Great Dream: The Great and Final Apostasy of Christendom, Described (Paperback)
There are many points in the book where it encorages us to be fully persuaded for Jesus and His gospel.. but then the author goes round and round and beats around the bush about his assumptions and his pet doctrines he cannot let go etc, and his merciless attack on christians who oppose his doctrines..the author clearly love the Lord, and in his zeal, like many other christians, tear apart fellow beleiver in areas in which they have superior understanding/interpretation.. in this way, the author digs his own grave in many places.. i would carefully select few chapters and give it out to people to read from the internet. this book may not be a worthwhile investment for me to give to any zeaalous christian, but only for a few.

Excellent!,

This review is from: The Great Dream: The Great and Final Apostasy of Christendom, Described (Paperback)
This book has answered many of our questions regarding issues we have seen/experienced over the last 20 years. When comparing the first century church with what it has morphed into today you get a much clearer understanding of what Jesus the Messiah was saying in Matt 7. A must read for those who sense something is wrong with modern Churchdom but just can't seem to put a finger on what it is.
