Starts at Week 4,
This review is from: Great Expectations: Pregnancy Journal & Planner, Revised Edition (Hardcover)
Many journals start at Week 1. Who would start a pregnancy journal at Week 1 when you are menstrating? This journal starts at Week 4 when you find out that you are pregnant. So when you purchase it, you do not feel like you are behind and have a lot of catch up to do. It also has a journaling section for one week versus entries for everyday, which can feel overwhelming. I bought it last night after having purchased another one (What to Expect When You Are Expecting Pregnancy Journal & Organizer) and I like it much better!

Great organization.,

If you are a pen and paper person, this pregnancy planner is for you. It has a friendly format and well organized. I especially like writing in the weekly sections about how I am feeling, exercise, dreams, baby's movement, etc.. It has also been useful for keeping track of all the information at appointments and screenings. The planner also has a bunch of excellent check lists.

Before I got this book I had slips of paper all over the place. I had a hard time keeping track of everything that an expecting Mom is supposed to do and working a full time time job.
This book put all of the information I needed to know in easy to track format. This book provides easy to follow guidelines that will ensure when your little one arrives you will have completed all of the pre-delivery tasks. If there is a question that you should ask, it is in this book. The questions that are listed for health care providers and day care centers are everything you need to know to make the best decisions for your baby. The Journal section allows you to monitor your progress and record the baby's progress week by week. The medical section allows you to record questions you want to ask at your next OB appointment and record their responses.

The Great Count Down,
By
This review is from: Great Expectations: Pregnancy Journal & Planner (Spiral-bound)
I'm just starting out, and VERY excited! After looking through this book it has some very helpful information, but I'm disappointed in one MAJOR issue. I just bought this book today, and I'm due in March of 2010, the problem is that there is no calendar that goes up to 2010. They have placed a cheep loose leaf page in the front of the journal, but it only goes up to '09. So if like me you're looking forward to the week by week (calendar) countdown look somewhere else.

I am in my first pregnancy and am a little overwhelmed with everything, this book is amazing! It gives you a list of questions for the hospital for delivery and such, for daycare, for your Dr. and gives you a guide on what to put on your registry, it really made me feel a lot more organzied with everything. I would highly suggest to get this!

Needs updating....,

I used this journal for my first pregnancy and loved it. I searched high and low to find it for this pregnancy and couldn't find it in any of the local bookstores...which I found a little odd since it was EVERYWHERE during my first pregnancy. I was thrilled when I found it on Amazon. It's still a great journal/planner - I love the layout. But it's not being published anymore and the calendar is out of date. They do include an updated page that you can keep with the book but if you're like me, it quickly fell out and I no longer had a calendar at my fingertips...which I really wanted!

Just what I wanted,

I used this same planner for my pregnancy last time, and just bought a second one for this time around. It works great for me. It is small enough that I can carry it around with me easily, it has a lot of space for notes for each week (unlike many which have a large space for weekly pictures and just a small spot for notes), and has the same categories week after week, so you can really see how thing progress as the pregnancy advances.
I don't look to a pregnancy planner for pregnancy, delivery, or parenting advice, I just want it to act as a pregnancy journal, and medical record keeper, etc. so I don't have much to comment on re: the actual information in the book. It has some, I just have never paid it any attention. I just like the format, the size, the layout, etc.
