This is not a book, its a "booklet"!,

I was horribly disappointed to receive this little booklet. Small, small pictures, soft cover, and looking and feeling exactly like a booklet. Smaller than many manuals you'd get with an item purchased.
Having gotten beyond my initial reaction, I looked thru the pages. There are about a dozen assorted usable exercises. Most are common sense stuff and there are few "aha!" moments if any. Same with the stretching section which was most of what I wanted. Everything there is easily found and downloaded in articles commonly available. Again, nothing more than basics, basics, and more basics. There was one single "new" idea in the whole book. Had I paid $.99 I would have felt good. A booklet is valued at that. But not for its asking price.

oops, more of a pamphlet,

I bought this as a gift to go with a foam roller I also bought as a gift. Needless to say the foam roller is a piece of foam. I was hoping to spruce it up with a good exercise manual - so it would look more like an exercise tool and less like a piece of foam. For 9.95 I thought I had bought a book but this is more of a pamphlet that should come free with the roller. The pages are glossy, I guess that's why it's 9.95. My purpose in getting the gift was for the massage-after-hurting-yourself-exercising aspect but there's only a small section of that in the book. On the plus side, it's the one section that doesn't require so many different rollers.

Fantastic Book,

Wow! This book covers it all when it comes to foam rollers; from strength training to balance and flexibility, as well as, a section on myofascial release. I also thought the pictures were clear and the instructions descriptive and to the point.

I can't even believe this tiny, tiny little paperback, held together with a staple is being sold for $10!!! Most of the exercises shown involve 1/2 rollers which I did not buy nor do I plan on buying. What a rip off!!!!!

Book review,

This book is good if you have all the different foam rollers that they show in it. A bit limiting if you only have one of the rollers.

This is a great resource for the at-home foam roller lover. There are lots more exercises than stretches/myo-fascial release things in here, and they are very creative. I loaned it out to a few of my clients having knee pains, etc.

Unless you have had a physical therapist or trainer show you how to properly use a foam roller, it can be rather mystifying. This book gives you a wide array of exercises to do with foam rollers, covering many different physical aspects and sports training conditioning. I'm quite happy that I purchased it and would have given it five stars, but was disappointed in the cheap paperback binding. It would've been far more practical to have it spiral-bound with firmer front and back covers.

An absolute waste of money,
This review is from: The Great Foam Roller Handbook (Paperback)
Wow do I wish I read more reviews for this PAMPHLET (this is not a book). There is such little information actually provided and there's really only 4-6 pages of anything useful.
I bought this because I've been using foam rollers for my IT Band and wanted to get more use out of my foam roller. If you're looking to get more use out of a foam roller, do yourself a favor and look for another book or even a website. Just stay away from this booklet; it is beyond disappointing.

Recently had PT which used a foam roller. This handbook gave me other uses for the roller which helped my back and leg muscles. I liked it very much.
