This book talks about only the Great storms of the state of North Carolina, from the 1700's thru Hazel. The book refrences "Great" as being category 4 or higher at landfall or a storm that caused so much devastation that it would be considered a great storm. The book includes a few storms in the 1700's, 1800's, the 1944 storm and Hazel, and it touches on a few storms of the modern times....Very well done, each storm is well reasearched and documented!! This would be a plus for a Hurricane historian!!!!
