A magical tour,
By Kleiophoros "Kleio" (Santander, Espagne) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Great Instauration and the Novum Organum (Paperback)
If you want to discover the magical fountain of scientific life, you have three main options: (1) read Galileo Galilei, (2) read René Descartes, or (3) read Francis Bacon. The last is of an unbelievable richness of thought and discourse. All the wonderful rhetoric of Early Modern Age is there, with hints of a whole New World. Science as Faith, and Reason as Magic: something that we have, in the course of the centuries, forgotten. An outline for a revolution, with many of its promises accomplished or in the making. Some nightmares too.
