A great collection of vintage music you may often know only from its associations from WB cartoons. I would rate the piano skill level required as "upper intermediate" with the caution that many of these Tinpan Alley style songs require significant left hand ability to navigate the oom-pah accompaniment patterns.
It's interesting too, to see the full versions of these songs rather than just the small bits quoted in films. You'll find there's a reason only small bits of some songs were used. But this collection wasn't chosen for its musical quality, it's a collection for its historical value and that's why I love it. |
