5.0 out of 5 stars Lyrical Oasis in the Wasteland of Modern Hip-hop
Numerous times in the past 5 years I've felt like I have to choose between good lyrics, a smooth flow, or great beats.

Most of the self-proclaimed underground rappers have good lyrics followed by a forced flow and bad beats. You might get a couple good songs from an album, but not much more.

On the other side of the spectrum you've got...

When I first bought this album I thought I was gonna go crazy it was so dope. Excellent lyricist and good Wu-Tang style beats. Everything was pretty much on point. There's a few songs that I don't like, but he has a good balance of spittin hard and songs with messages without being preachy.

Numerous times in the past 5 years I've felt like I have to choose between good lyrics, a smooth flow, or great beats.

Most of the self-proclaimed underground rappers have good lyrics followed by a forced flow and bad beats. You might get a couple good songs from an album, but not much more.

On the other side of the spectrum you've got commercial rap, alive with energetic 'jump up' beats that keep your head poppin' and lyrics so stupid your embarassed to repeat 'em.

Then you've got Think Differently putting out a record packed with spectacular flows on top of phat beats interlaced with horns, strings, and piano chords.

I love it. Thanks for letting me have my cake and eat it too. This is the best hip-hop album I've heard in years.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Wu is Back, May 23, 2006
This review is from: The Great Migration (Audio CD)
Well, finally something to look forward to from the Wu-Camp..Bronze Nazareth has been around for years now and nobody wanted to give him a chance to shine...the great RZA gave him a chance and it's here for you to finally enjoy..

If you loved the ol'skool wu-tang sound with kung fu samples & grimy beats mixed in with soul samples..this is the cd for you..you will not be dissappointed with the old'style wu sound with intelligent lyrics....without doubt..this will be one of the best indie/underground cd's you will get this year....peace..

5.0 out of 5 stars Born Again Hiphop Fan. Back From the Dead., September 2, 2006
This review is from: The Great Migration (Audio CD)
This cd, singlehandedly transformed my entire outlook on the hiphop genre. It breaks my heart that this dude isn't the most talked about artist out there. It's simply the best hiphop cd I have heard in years. No throwaway tracks on here. Period. It flows and and it sounds like a complete album start to finish.

Just another amazing sleeper cd that some of us are so fortunate to be aware of. Its too bad these dudes aren't the multiplatinum sellers instead of what we have right now. Then again, it's cool to be on the inside loop, I have to admit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Wu Release in Years, May 30, 2006

This is a great album from Bronze Nazareth. He's been under the radar for long enough (put in work for Masta Killa, Kool G Rap, RZA, the Wu-Tang Meets Indie Culture compilation -too many others to list.) His is some of the most solid production you'll hear and his lyrics on point. Definately a refreshing change from most of the hip-hop releases today. Every song is banging. If you love hip-hop and are looking for something to rock this summer, do yourself a favor and buy this cd.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good, May 27, 2006
This review is from: The Great Migration (Audio CD)
I feel a bit mean giving 4 stars - it's better than that - but not quite 5.

This has some brilliant production and a classic Wu Tang feel - but it's also got his own imprint. Very impressed - going to look out for his work - hopefully he does some stuff with the original 'Generals' in future (Ringing Bells with MK also top notch).

Very soulful, very trippy, good lyrics.

I lked his work on Wu mets Indie Culture - but this is better

5.0 out of 5 stars A Breath of Fresh Air, October 14, 2006
This review is from: The Great Migration (Audio CD)
I thoroughly enjoy listening to this CD. Bronze is a renaissance hip hop head, producing and MC'ing. With so much garbage out there, I really appreciate his lyrics and creativity. He brings consciousness and street life together well. Bronze uses lots of old soul music samples which also set this CD apart from most other artists. I would describe the sound of this CD as Wu-Tang throwback, reminissant of Liquid Swords or Wu Tang Forever and all from a Detroit cat. It has that gritty head banging effect. My favorite song on the CD is 'Hear What I Say'. In it Bronze describes his journey thru the corporate hip hop world and what he did to land his record deal. Also he touches on the type of garbage music that he was bypassed for.

If you like real hip hop (not the grown man finger snapping variety), then cop this joint. It is a CLASSIC! Peace

This review is from: The Great Migration (Audio CD)
I heard of him back in 2002, and I knew he was going to be great, but damn not this great this is definitely the best rapper of 2006 hands down. look out for his earlier music (undying love, taming the iron, and kung fu training)it's hot believe me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bronze should soon be Platinum!!, May 28, 2006
This review is from: The Great Migration (Audio CD)
Much love and support goes out to Bronze. He truly represented the Wu and Gun Ru to the fullest. Everyone who loves Wu-Tang will love this album. If you don't add this to your Wu collection, it's not complete. Bronze brings his own style, yet maintains the amazing artistry of all of the Wu fam. Bronze is socially conscious and articulate, definitely bringing back the vibe of Hip Hop, not Hip Pop.

Bronze, keep doin' your thang, God Bless. -Buddah King from the South House Click, Gun Ru representin'...

3.0 out of 5 stars Where's Choco?, August 25, 2009

When I first bought this album I thought I was gonna go crazy it was so dope. Excellent lyricist and good Wu-Tang style beats. Everything was pretty much on point. There's a few songs that I don't like, but he has a good balance of spittin hard and songs with messages without being preachy.
But the one unforgivable sin of this CD is the poor sound quality. The beats would be really great if there wasn't distortion when I put the volume up loud. Especially on the beats with horns. I have a good quality amp, stereo and speakers, so I know its not my equipment. I've also listened to it in headphones and that makes the poor sound even worst. Besides the Wu-Tang meet Indie Culture, this is the only Bronze Nazareth piece I have. I hope his future works have an actual engineer like the great Choco. If it were not for the poor sound, this CD would have easily been 4 stars. Its a great CD, but I hate listening to poor sound, it ruins the whole vibe of an otherwise great album.
