flimsy ratchet, but the sockets make this low-priced set worth it. a good return for low cost.

If I want professional quality tools I will pay for it. If I want something simple and cheap to use when the rest of my tools are in storage, this is fine. I figure I'll use two sockets tops over a year for changing the oil and assembling the bunk bed - for under 5 bucks this does very nicely. Would not use for serious projects, but for the occasional use - its fine!

The sockets appear to be the same quality of my old "cheap" set, however the socket wrench and hand wrench are made incredibly cheaply...worse than I had ever seen before...but for the price, I can overlook the quality of the socket wrench.

To make a long story short, I basically needed a socket set to install a replacement mirror housing on to my car that had been knocked-off. Money was pretty tight at the time, and this was in the budget. Looking at the reviews, I really wasn't expecting much, but for less than $10, I'd say it's worth it. The ratchet feels a bit flimsy, but it got the job done. Even if it doesn't last that long, the included sockets make the set worth the asking price.

I got this because hubby needed some metric sockets and this had them. Ratchet is flimsy but usable. Sockets are good quality. Case is fine. Would recommend for general use,especially for the price.

This socket set is good in a pinch if you haven't got anything else. I bought it because it was so cheap and at the time, I didn't have a socket set. It kicked around in my car for a while until the day came I had to use it. It got the job done. That's all you can ask for, I guess. But as soon as I got home I ordered a proper socket set. Its worth the price if you have nothing else. If you think that you may use a socket set more than once or twice, obviously you'll want something a lot more serious than this.

I was given this set by a friend as payment for a favor. The yellow handle broke off of the driver the first time I used it. I tried the sockets and two of them cracked while I was using them on my car. The ratchet is flimsy, poorly finished and has sharp edges on it. Don't waste your money on this set. Spend a few more dollars and buy a Craftsman set. You will get better tools and help an American keep working since C-man sockets and ratchets are still made in the USA.

For the money, this is not a bad deal. Yet I found it to be of inferior quality. The ratchet looks like die cast metal even though it is "triple chrome plated." It is rough around the edges and is not like an evenly polished higher quality tool set you see at other stores. The driver handle is cheap plastic that reminds me of a similar one I had that split and broke from the shaft. For a flea market type set that does the job, I guess this is what you would be looking for.

Very disappointed in this - sadly, I probably paid about what it's worth. The rachet broke after two uses. The driver broke after using it once with a wrench. Sometimes you just can't go with the no-names - especially when you are buying tools.

I own a 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise and I send every truck out with a complete set of tools so my employees can disassemble items our customers want us to remove (exercise equipment, swing sets, etc). I had a hard time finding an affordable socket set that had a good plastic case and many sizes. This set has been working great and is a great value. If you need an inexpensive set that works great but you won't be mad if it gets lost/stolen, etc, this is it!
