I can't say enough nice about this popcorn and the machine(8 oz. foundation machine in red)! I admit I was skeptical at first, even did weeks of research online before buying. This was purchased as a housewarming gift for my daughters that had moved into a new apt. together as they were both attending the same college. The popcorn machine(8 0z) that I bought and the popcorn packs were all as good as they were advertised to be! I bought both 4 oz. and 8 oz. packs so there would be smaller ones for individual servings and then some to share with guests on those BIG TV nights. When they advertise it tastes like movie theater popcorn they are so right! The popcorn taste, the machine and the quick shipping make this a very good buy! Will definitely recommend to all looking for great tasting home popcorn as well as the machine! The girls and their guests love it and use it all the time. I plan to keep them stocked in Great Northern Popcorn 8 and 4 oz. portion packs!

Overall, this actually works as stated and reviewed by the other writers. 100% satisfied, and would definitely recommend this to others. Great popcorn, just like at the movie theatre. Because there were so many positive comments, I just wanted to let others avoid my mistakes if they decide to purchase one. First, it works great with the pre-packaged popcorn, oil, and seasoning sold from the same company. But it does not work as well with my own "ad hoc" receipe of butter/margarine/oil and regular popcorn, however, I've tried only a couple of times. My own mixtures are definitely inferior to their own prepackaged mix. Second, I left the heat on a min or 2 too long after it finished popping, and it left a residue on bottom heating element. That's not so easy to remove. Third, this unit is sizable. You need a bit of countertop space, and a place to store it, so check the dimensions to make sure it is not too big for your needs. Otherwise, it is fantastic as advertised.

I am a volunteer for the PTO and we found buying this product cheaper than renting it so we took the plunge. It is so easy to use and we have used it every week for over a year. It is simple to use and the popcorn comes out perfect every time. My kids want one for our home.
