4.0 out of 5 stars Good Buy
This book is good for you to read if you are bored of the generic paper airplanes. The only problem is that you have to get the folds exact or the plane may not fly as well as it should. Only get it if you've done a lot of oragami before and can fold fairly accurately.

3.0 out of 5 stars great paper airplanes
It is the hardest thing to follow and its especially frustrating when you have a six year old hanging over your shoulder waiting for you to make the cooles paper airplanes. the folds are really hard to follow but if you know what the words mean then it would be a great book.

2.0 out of 5 stars I HAVE SEEN BETTER, September 15, 2007
This review is from: Great Paper Airplanes (Paperback)
This work certainly covers a lot of ground. Planes such as Darts, SST/Stealths/Gliders/Starships/Jet Bombers/Flying Wings, Delta Wings/Fighters and on and on. The designs shown in this work are all quite good, and there are certainly some unique planes to be made. The problem though is that it is very difficult to make these planes with the pictures and directions given. It can be done, but after struggling though one or two examples, you start wondering if it is really worth the effort required. I can accomplish most of the designs featured in this book if I practice over and over again. This is after much trial and error. In the class room though, trying to teach kids, even older kids, the level of frustration grows so high, that you simply must fall back on old, simple well known designs and hope the bell rings soon. A young person, just beginning, would be overwhelmed, I feel. I cannot recommend this one.

The instructions are poorly written! The steps are not intuative and the illustrations are not helpful. Save yourself some frustration and stay away from this book.
