This review is from: Great Planes Green Putty (Toy)
If you are working with styrene models, this is a great product. It bonds very well, and has a fine grain. Generally, you won't even need to prime before painting, unless you are using heavily thinned acrylics. This putty is also resistant to the shrinking often found in other products. It is easy to sand, unlike using CA glue.
The major downside of purchasing from this vendor are the inflated shipping costs. This 2.5 oz tube is marked at 1 lbs by the vendor which adds an extra dollar to their standard $5.75 shipping rate. Yes, expect to pay more than DOUBLE the putty cost if you purchase from this vendor - and it doesn't even come with a singing telegram. If you need to purchase one tube of green putty from this vendor, look elsewhere. Purchased through: "MegaHobby" Cost $3.25 Shipping $6.75 Shipping label is stamped - 4 oz. by USPS To give some perspective... using the USPS shipping calculator, for three day shipping, the cost for a 4 ounce large envelope is $1.31 |
