I have found this great quotes book to be an excellent source for thoughts, inspirations and feeling which many teachers share. I would have liked it to include more teachers, however, I have found quotes which have allowed me to express myself over several occassions. The quotes of Anne Sullivan, George Washington Carver, Mary McLeod Bethune and others have served me well in speeches, editorials and testimonials. I believe Marva Collins quote truly reflects what all good teachers share in sentiment: " I am a teacher. A teacher is someone who leads. There is no magic here. I do not walk on water, I do not part the sea. I just love children." I too am a teacher.
