I agree. It is far and few between these releases nowadays... I have a blu-ray player, but I still cling on to DVD's and have decided to not buy any blu-rays before I can't get a specific title I want on DVD.

Not gonna buy dvd anymore. Even though I have moved to blu ray, I still kept my dvd collections but recently when I checked my dvd collections, most of its have began rotting.

How does that even make sense? You must be keeping you DVD's a very poor, damp place. The same thing will happen to your Blu-Rays within a decade if you don't look after them.

I kept my dvd's in a shelf rack. Some of the dvd titles are X files season 8 and season 9 from complete collector's edition, Ghost Rider, Alien Vs Predator Unrated Edition, Fantastic Four Extended Edition, Pan's Labyrinth,The league of extraordinary gentlemen, The Golden Compass and some anime titles. I remembered I watched back Fantastic Four and X files last March this year. At that time I have not encounter any problems but now when I checked on it I found there is now thin milky like layer between the two dvd layers and the disc won't play at all. This is really frustrated. I do not know if blu ray will having this kind of problem also. So far none.
