Bought this for the in-laws to investigate going on a river cruise in Europe. This concept was completely outside of their comfort zone prior to recieving this book. After a couple of days reading it, they are now ready to go and have in fact already purchased a cruise. This book is full of wonderful photographs, maps, and destinations of many of the cruises. This book was instumental in helping them decide which cruiseline to take (Viking) and which trip to take. If you are even remotely considering a river cruise in Europe, this book is a must read. And although the in-laws have not yet taken their trip, they fully intend on taking the book with them. Bon Voyage!!!!

Full of useful information, many excellent photos, maps, ratings, and every detail imaginable relating to river cruising.

We bought this for more information on a Rhine river cruise and that section of the book is only a few pages. The information presented seemed accurate.

I found this to be very accurate from my experiences, and very informative about the cruise lines and their ships. I would love to see this updated for 2010.

This is the only publication I could find that covered the different ports of call on river cruises and I was not disappointed. A must read for anyone who is considering or who has booked a river cruise.

This is a comprehensive guide for destination information as well as information about river cruising. It is well worth the money!

I bought this book to augment our information about historical places and interesting architecture buildings we planned to see on our European cruise on the Danube and Rhine. It was a wonderful addition. Even after the cruise I often refer to the book to identify photos I took on the trip. Book was in excellent condition and arrived in good time.

I bought this book in preparation for a European River Cruise. It was great to have. It would have been even better for someone who hasn't yet chosen a particular cruise. It helps with the planning phase and it also acts as a good guide for the trip itself. It will continue to be useful as we plan (if we plan) other trips because it covers a lot more territory than we covered. Good quality paper and photos, too.
