We ordered this recently and instead of getting a bag like in the photo (marked Teff from Ethiopia) we received an unmarked brown bag. When we used it to make injera the taste and smell were not right and my wife and mother-in-law (both born and raised in Ethiopia) are sure that this is not real teff but some other grain. Even I could taste and smell that this tasted and smelled like no injera that I had ever eaten before.

In short, we are sure this is an adulterated product and not real teff - and a waste of $60. Bad! Bad! Bad!

I received the product promptly and in good condition, but when I opened the bag it was full of weevils webs and eggs. Extremely nasty! However when I figured out how to contact Amazon I was given a full refund within two days and there was no hassle. So customer service was great, but the product was beyond BAD.

Bought this with the hope of using it immediately. Came in a white bag that had small holes in it and was infested with bugs. Not useable, regret purchasing. Wouldn't use this company again to order.

We use this to make injera and highly reccommend. I can use the teff flatbreads we make from this for tortillas and other sandwiches and keep my blood sugar down (Type II diabetes). It has an earthy flavor to it that I like (and the flavor is correct for teff--its not brand specific). The price works out to be about half of what I have to pay for Bob's Red Mill (because I am on the East Coast and shipping cost more than the product if I purchase bulk from Bob in Oregon or buy smaller quantities of his on amazon.)

I can't tell the difference.between this and Bobs. We bought two of these bags to last us till fall--we eat a lot of teff (2 cups makes about 6 big flatbreads (injera)--I can eat a whole one with dinner and stay less than 130. Good with bison and chicken.)

we have decided to go for subscription believing the quality will not be compromised in the future.
