I just completed The Great Sockathon! What a fun and exciting book! In 2003, four girls experience many community social and personal issues when they decide to hold a "sockathon" to save the dying balm of Gilead tree in their neighborhood. There is one thing that the neighbors don't know though! In 1932, a girl fell from the Gilead and died and she communicates with the girls in 2003! Eerie!

This book is a fun, easy read. It is about 4 girs who want to save a 270 year old tree that has a ghost living in it. They decide to raise money by having a sockathon, what is a sockathon? You have to find out by reading the book. It also has a great surprise ending.
