This CD is a thoroughly enjoyable experience filled with the great big band dance music that made Welk's band such a success in the 50s and 60s. The arrangements are tasteful and professional, easy on the ear, and quite danceable. Some even swing, or bounce along with an infectious shuffle rhythm. Although none of Welk's hit singles from the 60s are present (something a thorough compilation from Ranwood Records needs to address as one is sadly lacking currently), the music is first rate and one that any fan of Lawrence Welk, big band music, or just 60s instrumental pop music in general should have in their collection.
