I had the LP's HYMNS AND SONGS OF BROTHERHOOD and SONGS OF THANKS, which are the two albums coupled together to comprise this CD. The resulting CD as beautiful. There is a good balance between the poignant and the triumphant. The most poignant selection is the "Hymn and Prayer for Peace," which is a prayer pleading for peace. I love the way choir sings Beethoven's "The Heavens are Telling" with brass quartet, percussion and organ. I feel this CD is a must for every fan of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, no matter your religious persuasion. I recommend it very strongly.
