A soldiers soul!, June 20, 2000

This is going to be no ordinary review. Its about something far deeper than a mere piece of plastic. A soldier without his uniform is like a season without spring! Old soldiers tend to quitly blend with life once they leave active service. They will seldom settle into peace time armies, having earned and tasted an abyss that very few ever look into. They equally don't like to gossip about it, nor join veteran societies, as it somehow makes their experience cheap. It just stays stashed away in his mind, seldom dusted down. When I listened to this CD, all my memories came flooding back! Sometimes I could taste the fear in my mouth, or the smell of cordite in the air, with my soul temporary suspended in an adrenalin rush that no drug can emulate. I can fully recommend this compulation to any real soldier for a quite evening around a fire on his own, reminisating.
