It's been over decade since this Canadian phenom roared on to the American Gospel scene with her debut album, Once (EMI), a collection of songs that fairly or unfairly painted Londa Larmond with one stroke as an exciting new Contemporary Gospel artist on the verge of breaking through. But with time being the ultimate equalizer, the breakthrough was postponed, and the public moved on.

Such a shame, considering this little figure with the big voice is certainly more than a one-trick pony or one-hit wonder. Larmond's vocal range, tempo and talent are signs of a seasoned psalmist, bent on giving praises to God. Her penmanship as a songwriter is commendable and her presence as a praise leader is life-affirming.

Well, Londa Larmond displays an uncanny ability to infuse the rhythms and range of Africa on this number...
