This is the textbook I used for my Ethics class at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. It is a fantastic collection of ethical thought spanning 2,400 years. I was very surprised to realize how much of our own ethical thought, as well as legal system, is based on the beliefs and essays of previous philosophers. The best parts of this book are the introductions. Because this book is composed of exerpts from larger works, the introductions do a splendid job of giving the authors' historical background and explaining their writings. The introductions are so clear and concise that one could probably just read them and understand the ideas and arguments perfectly.

What can i say it is ethics. I think this class is tough period. most people i have spoken to who come from different backgrounds and different age categories report the same thing..."it can be confusing". I know there are some people who understand ethics and the teachings without any problems; but the language they used only confused me and it didnt help that my teacher was also teaching logic..ugh

I almost thought it was too good to be true to get a brand new book for half the price the college was selling it for! But that's exactly what I got. Perfect brand new book for an awesome price. FAST SHIPPING. Very happy!

BTW the book is very boring. Don't buy it unless it's for a class.

With the high cost of textbooks nowadays, it's nice to be able to purchase a cheaper book in great conditon. The book will only be used for a semester, so it's nice to save a little off of the retail value!

It is hard to follow the writer. You have to reread some portions, since the author goes back and forth between philospohers and his own thoughs on the matter. This make it hard to grasp.

For being used and in the condition stated, the book I received looks great. Everything was legible and no pages were missing. No passage that i have read is compromised by the highlighting/penning. The weathered look makes it seem as though i read the book a lot.

The book came in great condition and a timely manner. I definitely would buy from this dealer again!

Excellent; product came a lot earlier than I expected and it was in excellent condition. I would buy another textbook from this seller. It could not have worked out any better because it was less than half the cost than it would have costed me at the college bookstore.

I had a summer class, and i never received the book, aside from getting behind in my class and from waisting time, I liked the fact that Gloria emailed me back promptly.
