I just received my Alpina Pro Chair. Two of the main reasons I ordered the chair is because it said it had a 300 lb load capacity, and an extra long footrest. Well, when I set it up and sat in it, I noticed the footrest wasn't all that long, it's not very comfortable, not very wide, seems kind of flimsy, and the card on the chair says the weight capacity is only 225 lbs. MY husband was really excited that I was able to find a chair to hold his weight. But I'm afraid it will probably collapse as soon as he sits in it. I bought 2 of them, and it looks like i'm pretty much stuck with them, because the company won't pay for the shipping to ship them back, and at 23.00 shipping per chair (shipping cost almost as much as chair), it's not worth it. They need to change the weight capacity in the add, it only holds 225 pounds.

My wife & I just spent a week at the beach with a pair of these Alpina chairs. They were as comfortable as they are heavy. Twenty-six pounds is a heavy beach chair and the tote bags fit v-e-r-y tightly. I was not surprised to find rust when I hosed them down after our return since there are several unfinished ferrous surfaces.

Very comfortable chair! The recline buttons are a great feature. It is a bit heavy to carry, though, and putting it back into the carry bag is difficult! The photo shows a teal blue color, but the chair came in black.

This chair does not have stiff arms. They are bands of cloth on elastic bands. You can't support yourself on them to help you out of the chair. Your beverage will spill often. very time you grab the arms of this chair your drink will slosh everywhere. Even sober.
Other than the crappy arms, It still reclines nicely. Easy to fall asleep in. The pillow is an added bonus.
But still... only 2 stars.
