Book Description

September 1981

By giving brief accounts of the lives, characters, and history of great violinists, this book brings out the special achievement of each. A "family tree" shows the stylistic lineage of such differing players as Perlman, Stern, and Menuhin in unbroken teacher-pupil continuity back to Corelli.
