More About the Author

Elizabeth Clare Prophet (1939 - 2009) was born in Red Bank, New Jersey on the eve of the Second World War. As a young girl she attended various churches in her never-ending quest to find God and a closer relationship with Jesus. Her search brought her to The Summit Lighthouse and meeting Mark L Prophet in 1960.

In 1973, with the transition of Mark Prophet, Elizabeth continued the work of The Summit Lighthouse, holding conferences around the world and authoring cutting edge spiritual books until her retirement in 1999 due to health reasons.

Elizabeth said of her work, "I am the servant of the light in all students of the ascended masters and in all people.

My books and writings are intended to give people the opportunity to know the truth that can make them free - so they can find God without me.

I do not claim to be a master nor do I claim to be perfect in my human self. I am but the instrument of the Ascended Masters.

My mission is to take true seekers, in the tradition of the masters of the Far East (which Jesus exemplified), to the level of consciousness where they can meet their teachers face to face."

Elizabeth Clare Prophet's books cover a wide range of spiritual subjects, from angels, ascended masters, the violet flame, karma and reincarnation, new age family life, twin flames and soul mates to using meditation and decrees to connect to your holy Christ Self and effect positive change in your world.

The Summit Lighthouse continues to hold quarterly conferences on the teachings of the ascended masters at their headquarters in Corwin Springs, Montana and seminars around the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars SO MUCH In One Book!, October 26, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Great White Brotherhood: In the Culture, History and Religion of America (Paperback)
I have read a number of Elizabeth Clare Prophet's books, not to mention hundreds of other spiritual, metaphysical and 'New Age' tomes. But this must rank among my top ten favourite books on esotericism and the spiritual path. There is SO MUCH in this book that I defy anybody to review it subject-by-subject. The text is actually taken from a summer retreat of several days' duration at Mount Shasta: I only wish I had been there. Wonderfully-worded and profoundly powerful 'dictations' or transmissions from higher beings--from the Great White Brotherhood of the title--are intersperced with deeply intriguing and highly practical transcribed lectures by the author on a bewildering array of mystical topics. The astounding story of how George Washington and the Founding Fathers have been documented to have been divinely guided in creating the United States; the relationship and organization between the three kingdoms of divine life: of angels, elementals and humanity; a totally new approach to astrology;--all this is here, and that's just the start of it. Come to think of it, whenever I pick up this book, I really do feel as though I am at the foot of Mount Shasta, bathed in its spiritual Light, after all. In my opinion, this will always be an absolute classic book on the spiritual hierarchy of this world and of Their work in uplifting all peoples.

This is a great book. You need to open your mind and heart; and this book will enlighten your path, whatever it is. You can be a Christian, Jew, Buddhist or Hindu and I'm sure you will get something good out of this book. I highly recommended it, if you can open your heart to it. The end result will be the same you will love it as I did.

1.0 out of 5 stars If you're looking for WISDOM, look somewhere else fast!!!, July 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Great White Brotherhood: In the Culture, History and Religion of America (Paperback)
I pity the poor trees whose wood is used for paper to produce such a terrible book!. I've read many books proclaiming the wonderfull "TRUTH", but this one is the worst book I came across. What is this fascination in the West with anything eastern. The East had its day, and now it is the turn of the West. If you really want to learn something of value to you, look no further than the works of Max Heindel, Edgar Cayce and the late and great Carlos Castaneda. There is no royal road to the Truth. You have to earn it by the life you choose to live!.
