This 72 page paperback book is a very valuble resorce.It can be used by begginers and produce excelant results. It uses not only standerd instructions on sturgeon fishing but throws in helpfull hints and even a few resepies for some tasty dishes.Even if you dont fish much this book contains indepth stories on survival (from a first person veiw). This book is very imformative and helpful. L.Adams

This book combines humorous cartoons, photos, and possibly life saving safety tips for sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River, but the advice should be relevant for any angler and the cartoons are worth the price of admission! Any fisherman should enjoy it, even if they don't fish for these monsters. R. C. Hammond

I bought this book for my husband who is an avid sturgeon fisherman, not expecting there to be any new information in it that he didn't know about. He loved it! He said that there are many things in the book that have since helped him to catch a big one. The part he liked most was the military explanation of anchoring and the tides description. Go buy this one if you want to bring home a sturgeon.

If I could give this book no stars I would have. The "book" is mostly pictures and cartoons and the prose that was actually useful could have been published on a leaflet. I read the entire thing in less than an hour and learned little to nothing.

To give you an example, consider the "chapter" on location. Important topic, right? It's literally 3.5 pages long, and most of that is taken up with useless pictures. There is NO useful information on locating the fish in this chapter. The advice given "to determine where to fish is to observe other boaters." Great, so basically you want me to follow local fisherman to find out where to fish...pathetic.

Finally, the "author" of this "book" can barely form coherent sentences and thoughts. When he actually writes something he skips around and you are left wondering if he is a psychiatric patient with flight of ideas.

This is just a total waste of money. Don't bother.

A pretty good book. It could have used more specific details and covered more rigging.
The cartoons are fun.

This book has some good information for research for those interested, has some good information for those interested in Sturgeon Fishing, always good to collect as much from other's as you can.

Being the author of this book, I should give it five stars. NOT?
I truely love the sport of sturgeon angling and wanted to share my knowledge. Most of all I had a need to share my hard earned knowledge of safety in boating and anchoring safely.
Retreiving the anchor being my main focus.

Got the book, read it! Surely not worth its price! I own a lot of fish and fishing books so I would have to say, this book isnt worth its cost! Most of the information wasn't as detail and I found better information from just searching websites on the net.
