The book arrived today and I found myself flipping through the pages with anticipation of my next venture to my local wine shop. Surprisingly to my delight, there were several wines I too have tried and enjoyed but the best part of the book is the variety of wines included, the breakdown by regions and the parings. I have already marked various wines from the book to try. I found the use of icons with all the wines an easy at a glance understanding of food pairings for each wine. The book also makes a great gift, just in time for Father's Day!

I'm not good with wine. I like wine, don't get me wrong, but I couldn't tell you what wine pairs well with a meal. I always feel out of my element when I'm out at a great restaurant or with friends on choosing, so I usually let them. But with Great Wines for Under $20, I won't have that problem anymore!! Elyse has a great color-coded index that helps you pair wine with a meal. It couldn't be easier!!

When I was at a corporate event a few months ago, we were to choose our wine with our meal. I cringed at the prices!! Seriously, twenty-three dollars a glass!!! I love a great red wine, but I couldn't afford a bottle of that on my budget, let alone a glass.

Fortunately, now I don't have to. Elyse has crafted a great book, Great Wines Under $20 that lists one hundred each of red and white wines. Each wine has it's own page, and not only is it under twenty dollars, she lists tasting notes as well as a detailed label image, which will make it easier for you to look for in the store.

If your looking for great wines on an affordable budget or want to impress your friends with your knowledge, then pick up this book! It's a great addition to any kitchen or bar. It's very colorful, easy to read and chock-ful of knowledge.

I've known very little about wines, the different variety of vintages, which types of foods they would go best with, and so on. Elyse Luray did my DETECTIVE WORK for me and published this book! And I'm SO pleased with it! I've just received it and not only is a wine primer for people like me, the design of each page is extremely pleasing to the eye...aside from the great label information it carries for each of the 200 wines in this book. The page-per-label is uncluttered and carries the essence of the information that I need to make a decision, and sound somewhat knowing in terms of what I'm saying! I hope she keeps updating this concept book!

Of course, the beautiful Elyse Luray on the cover got my attention but when i actually started taking a closer look inside i was amazed by the simplicity of the language which helps enormously on a topic that I am not an expert on. I will bring this book to the wine store every time i go and will also bring it as a gift with a bottle or two for house gifts or dinner parties.

This was an excellent book on wines. Informative and helpful with an easy to use Kindle format. The discussion also included which wines go best with which foods.

At last, help has arrived!! This is an excellent guide to wonderful wines at great prices. I love the colorful images of the wine labels, complete with food pairing suggestions. I will take this guide with me when I purchase wine and keep next to my desktop when I buy them online.

This is a great book for anyone who has ever felt intimidated by a wine list, or wandered aimlessly down the isles at the wine store. Besides offering recommendations for inexpensive wines, the book explains in lamens terms how to read a label, make the proper glass selection, and what wines pair well with different kinds of food. I have already tried a few of the recommendations from the book including the E. Guigal Cotes du Rhone Rouge, and the Wyatt Cab. Both are big, full bodied wines under $10, and both are amazing! This book proves you don't have to spend a lot of money to drink good wine. I plan to keep this book in my glove compartment, alongside my Zagat book. Like my American Express card, from now on, I will not leave home without it.

I received this on my Kindle about a month ago and fell in love with the idea of trying all of these wines. I am a true wine beginner and this book seems as if it was written just for me ... although I believe even a more experienced wine lover would get so much from it as well. I just ordered an actual copy of the book, as I felt it would be nice to carry it with me and flip through the pages while I'm standing in the wine aisle trying to decide what bottle I want to try next. I have to say I'm blown away by the color photos and wine label pictures in the book ... not only am I looking forward to using this book, I am already making a list of friends to buy a copy for, as it would make a wonderful gift!
